"Ada sesuatu yang berbeda ketika pertama kali mendengarkan album ini, Yacko tampil dengan suguhan musik yang boleh dibilang fresh untuk scene musik hip hop di Indonesia. Susah rasanya untuk menahan agar tidak mengganggukan kepala ketika mendengarkan album ini diputar track demi track. Rapper wanita yang pernah ikut meramaikan kompilasi spektakuler hip hop Indonesia yaitu Pesta Rap 2 pada tahun 1996 ini kembali dengan banyak kejutan yang menyenangkan dalam album terbarunya yang berjudul The Experiment. Dalam album terbarunya ini, Yacko seakan menunjukan kelasnya sebagai salah satu rapper dengan skill dan musikalitas serta selera sound yang lebih tinggi dari album-album sebelumnya.

Dirilis dibawah naungan 2313 Management, dalam album ini Anda seperti bisa mendengarkan Nicky Minaj, Missy Elliot, Dub a la Skrillex, sampai gubahan a la Calvin Harris. Menurut kami ini adalah sesuatu yang baru yang juga merupakan salah satu karya terbaik sepanjang karirnya sebagai musisi karena album ini terbilang unik dan berhasil memberikan warna baru pada scene musik hip hop lokal. Bekerjasama dengan banyak nama beken seperti Lawrence a.k.a Random, Male & Raben RVMIT, Maleakhi Simanjuntak, Heru Wahyono, Dmust Akira, Midnight Quickie, Electro Oby, Lloyd Popp, dan Mo Charizma album ini menawarkan sesuatu yang tidak bisa dibilang biasa kepada para pendengarnya. The Experiment is officially released!

Well, here we are, almost one month delayed for the expected release date, Yacko’s 3rd solo album, “The Experiment”, is now officially released and available to be purchased.

The Experiment contains 13 songs that will blast your stereo. The name of the album speaks for itself, collaborating tightly with Random (Javabass), who is well known as a drum n bass/electronic DJ/producer, Yacko is attempting to conduct a venture at something different from her previous album. Random has helped Yacko in the production by blending her rhymes and hip hop sound with a mixture of different elements of music.

It becomes an experimental hip hop album since The Experiment features beats that come straight from range of respected producers from different scene. From Random itself to Mo Charizma (Zero One), HERUWA (Dubyouth & Shaggy Dog), Jaya Aydra (Midnight Quickie), Osvaldo Nugroho & Dixie (The45MF), Dmust Akira,  Doe, Electro Oby and Male. Each fabricate diverse kind of feeling that would kill on the dance floor, from juke, trap, drum n bass, to dub step, jungle and the latest electronic dance music. At times the most striking element is the oppressive bass that swells up which will attract people from just nodding their heads to different kind of style of dancing, which favors fast feet and athletic skill. Collaboration with various musos such as Lloyd Popp, Davina (Extra Large), Raben RVMT, Midnight Quickie, HERUWA and Liquid Silva (Canada) also add strong flavors to this album.

#TheExperiment 26.08.13

As I have announced earlier in twitter, #TheExperiment will be released in September. But how's the progress so far?

8 out of 13 songs are ready to be mastered but the other 5 until now still need a lil bit of touch up. 

I still have to retrieve the data of 1 song since i kinda lost it. It was stored in my external hard drive but the drive is broken. Dayummm! So at this point, i am still hoping that the producer of the beat can find the raw data in his computer. 

The album cover is still being cooked by two talented graphic designers. 

I am looking at around say maybe 3 weeks from now or maybe less, you will be able to get a copy of the album.
